Apple Cinnamon Oats

Serves 1

1 medium apple, chopped into small chunks (about 1/2 cm wide)

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

pinch of clove

1/3 cup oats

2/3 cup water

2 tbsp peanut butter

toppings of choice- I love using hemp hearts, coconut flakes, flax seed, granola, banana

 

In a small saucepan over medium heat, add a splash of water, the chopped apple and spices and cook until softened, around 7-10 minutes, adding more water as necessary to prevent the apples from sticking to the pan

Add the oats and water and cook until oats have absorbed the water and are soft, about 3-5 minutes

Pour oats into a bowl and add your toppings: peanut butter, hemp hearts, flax seeds, coconut flakes, banana etc.
